The Shanghai World Environmental Expo (WieTec) is a global platform for hosting world environmental protection expos. It aims to combine traditional municipal and industrial environmental protection with comprehensive environmental governance and smart environmental protection, creating a commercially influential platform for exchange. The Shanghai World Environmental Congress (WieTec) is an annual grand event for the environmental protection industry. The last expo covered a total area of 220,000 square meters, consisting of 6 major thematic exhibitions and 25 specialized sections, bringing together more than 3,000 exhibitors from over 23 countries and regions, and attracting more than 100,000 professional visitors from over 115 countries and regions. During the same period, 29 high-level forums and 42 new product launch events were held, with more than 5,000 participants. The Shanghai Expo set new records in terms of the number of visitors and participating countries and regions both domestically and internationally. In addition to traditional municipal units, engineering (installation) companies, design institutes, and distributors and agents, exhibitors also gained access to professional audiences from 28 terminal industries, including food, beverages, brewing, textiles, leather, dyeing, papermaking, printing, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, rubber and plastic, cement, power, electronics, automotive, shipbuilding, machinery, construction, gas, public facilities, municipal, water conservancy, and agriculture. Through cooperation with multiple international environmental innovation technology organizations, associations, and industry media, the Shanghai Expo WieTec launched 100 special forums and activities, sharing technology and market prospects while also providing additional exposure opportunities for exhibitors, helping companies more effectively maintain customer relationships, expand business cooperation, promote new products and services, enhance brand image, and gain a competitive edge in the market. WieTec looks forward to inviting all environmental protection enterprises to the “spring and summer days” of WieTec once again, to jointly strive for the environmental protection cause in China.
